DNV (Det Norske Veritas) is an independent international foundation and one of the world’s leading certification bodies.

It is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and for over 140 years DNV has been trusted to manage risk and safeguard life, property and the environment. It has 300 offices in 100 countries, 10 of which are in Italy.

DNV is the first certification body accredited by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and has been approved as the Authorized Verifier for the Chicago Climate Exchange, the world’s first marketplace for reducing and trading greenhouse gas emissions.

For three consecutive years, prestigious specialized magazine Environmental Finance proclaimed DNV best independent certification body in greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol.
